'Three internships in France or abroad take place over the length of the course. The aim is to familiarize student engineers with the industrial environment they will become a part of when they leave ESIGELEC and to therefore prepare them for the first steps in their career'
The initial internship takes place at the end of the first year and last for four weeks between July and September. It gives students an introduction to the industrial pressures and human relations issues a business is subjected to.
The technician internship takes place at the end of the second year and lasts for eight weeks between July and September. It enables students to apply their technical knowledge within an industrial environment.
This internship lasts between 4 and 9 months, taking place between March and June or December. It enables students to work as a trainee engineer and to get to know their future role within a business. It is a real jumping off point for employment every year with around 20% of young engineers employed by the business they carried out their internship in.
