Ph. D. training at ESIGELEC is placed under the responsibility of the Research-based training Department. This department's missions are to validate the recruitment of IRSEEM's Ph.D. students, as well as their research project, their work plan, their environmental conditions and their evaluation.
IRSEEM welcomes and provides scientific support for 27 Ph. D. students, involving 31 teachers-researchers. The number of students has strongly grown these past years thanks to the partner-oriented projects supported by the competitiveness clusters within the framework of regional, national and European programs.
Several theses are done in collaboration with LITIS (University of Rouen), GPM (University of Rouen), GREAH (University of Le Havre), ISIR (University of Paris), LRI (University of Paris), AMPERE laboratory (Claude Bernard University of Lyon), IMEP-LAHC (INP Grenoble) and ENIT (El Manar University of Tunis).
IRSEEM's students are mostly connected to the Ph. D. school SPMII (Physics, Mathematics, and Information for Engineer Science) placed under the supervision of the Universities of Rouen and Le Havre, of INSA Rouen, as ESIGELEC is an associate partner. As such, they participate in all the events : mid-way defence, doctoral students' day, Doctoriales...
In parallel, they are involved in the events organized by ESIGELEC such as IRSEEM's doctoral students' day and the scientific seminar dedicated to students from the University of Saint Petersburgh.
Finally, they contribute to the promotion of science towards high school students by taking part in various events such as "science festival".
