Technology Transfer and Innovation

In 2007, the IRSEEM was awarded the Technological Resource Centre label in recognition of its involvement in supporting SMEs.

An essential cog in the wheel of local economic development

By drawing on the IRSEEM, ESIGELEC can provide businesses with technical expertise in fields such as electronics, automation and control engineering, information technology, microprocessors, etc.

ESIGELEC have a team of engineers and specialist researchers who carry out feasibility studies, specification listing, and design and production activities. We have worked for a large number of organisations including AD QUALITE, AEROSEC, AGEVOL, AIE Etudes, ALCATEL, AMI, ARKEMA, CETE, EADS, EDF, ELECTRONIQUE EQUIPMENT, ELF, EPIQ, ESSO, GONOGO, Groupe LEADER, Groupe SAFRAN, INVICOM, MATRA, MOBIL,OVERSPEED, PSA, RENAULT, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, SYNCHRONIC, SNCF, TCAR, THALES AIR SYSTEMS, THORN, VALEO Electronique

ESIGELEC are also involved in the Technology Circulation Network (with SEINARI – the Haute Normandie Innovation Agency) and the JESSICA programme (with Captronic) which helps SMEs and SMIs, in partnership with the CCIR under the control of DREAL (Regional Department for the Environment, Land Use and Housing). As part of these programmes and the OSEO support scheme ESIGELEC provide expert services for industrial partners.

Through the IRSEEM, ESIGELEC are also part of collective action to structure the regional electronics sector into a network. This action most notably includes organising technological clusters which connect large conglomerates with small industrial businesses, an embedded electronics cluster, and one for transport/logistics/information-communication technologies (TICTEL)

Activities in innovation and business start-ups

An incentive for entrepreneurship

  • Seminars for students promoting innovative entrepreneurship.
  • Project sponsors are allowed to work on their own project as part of the Engineering Project.
  • Support from OSEO.
  • Participation in different national and regional business development competitions

The MANAG’ING concept

  • Developed in cooperation with the Rouen Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Rouen Business School
  • Students from ESIGELEC and Rouen Business School work together on a project

An incubator at the heart of the school

  • Partnership with SEINARI (Haute Normandie Innovation Agency) which includes the Haute Normandie regional incubator (public organisation), for business development.
  • Partnership with the Technopôle du Madrillet business start-up hub of excellence

Competition

The Ministry of Higher Education and Research is launching the 12th edition of a national competition to help develop businesses in innovative fields of technology.
