They also have a contract of employment with the company they work for and are paid a salary. The salary is dependant on the age of the apprentice and the length of the contract (between 41 % and 78 % of national guaranteed minimum wage or minimum wage usually paid, whichever is higher)

  • Help with financing studies
ESIGELEC attaches great importance to the diversity of its students’ backgrounds.

ESIGELEC has various options available for study (5 year course, or admission after two or 4 years of university study, classic taught Engineering cycle or via work/study programme, continuing education leading to a qualification, etc) and our objective is to allow any student who has the educational ability to graduate from the school.

ESIGELEC has signed up for schemes which improve social circumstances or fight against discrimination such as the ‘Lumières des cités’ scholarship project, the ‘Scientific professions prize for girls’, the ‘Cercle passeport télécoms’ programme, etc.
A student life committee offers solutions, particularly financial ones, to students in difficulty. There is also a grants committee for international trips. Every year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rouen links up with the school to apply a significant number of tuition fee exemptions to students, depending on their social circumstances.
Agreements with banking partners are also leading to loans being arranged at lower rates of interest.
Depending on their personal situation, students will be eligible for :
    - Higher education grants - available from CROUS (Regional Centre for University and Schools Grants) prior to the March preceding selection exams. Application forms are available from the establishment attended and access loans are available from the local education authority. More information is available from CROUS (3, rue d’Herbouville 76000 ROUEN - +0033 (0)2 32 08 50 00),
    - Tuition fee exemptions - awarded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rouen. Application forms are available from and should be returned to ESIGELEC, in the November following admission to the school, for the current academic year,
    - Bank loans – the school, the Student Office and the Events Office have all signed agreements with different banking establishments. More information is available from the school.
